I cannot count on a three-year period at Man Utd - the United boss

Manchester United head coach

The Manchester United coach - here being consoled following May's continental cup disappointment - notes he is satisfied by Sir Jim Ratcliffe's long-term backing but underscored that tomorrow is uncertain in the sport.

The Red Devils' boss Ruben Amorim believes it's crucial the investor openly discussed his future vision - but says nothing is certain about the future in the sport, much less three full years.

Through a conversation with a leading newspaper recently, Sir Jim mentioned it may need Amorim three seasons to make a significant impact at Old Trafford.

Arriving during a time when the manager's position has been under scrutiny following an extended sequence of disappointing results, the statements assisted in calming a portion of the current stress.

Yet, discussing prior to the 100th meeting with old rivals Liverpool at Anfield, the manager emphasized how tomorrow is difficult to forecast in the beautiful game.

"It's certainly beneficial to listen to that but he informs me all the time, sometimes with a message after games - but understand, I realize and the co-owner recognizes, that soccer doesn't work that way," he said.

"The crucial element is the upcoming match. Regardless of investors, you cannot dictate tomorrow in soccer."

Chief executive Omar Berrada has admitted it has taken significantly extended periods for Amorim to acclimate to the top division subsequent to his appointment from Sporting last November than anyone imagined.

The Red Devils have secured 10 successes in 34 Premier League matches under the 40-year-old. They still haven't achieved consecutive league victories and didn't complete a round of league games this season better than ninth place.

The worrying figures are challenging confidence in the head coach among the Old Trafford faithful approaching a stretch of fixtures their team has struggled during for the past two seasons.

The manager stated he isn't experiencing the uncertainty within the organization at their training facility and is adamant nothing can match the stress he places on his players - and in certain ways, he would rather Sir Jim to refrain from seeking to bring a sense of calm because he worries the influence it may create on the players.

"It's not just something people discuss, I experience it each day," he said. "It's really good to listen to it because it helps our fans to understand the leadership understand it will require a period.

"However simultaneously, I'm not fond of it because it gives a feeling that we own time to solve problems. I don't desire that feeling in our team.

"The pressure I place on the team or to myself is significantly greater [compared to external sources]. In soccer, specifically at large organizations, you need to prove your worth each weekend."
