Vehicles in German Town Found Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Police stated they were notified by a individual who noticed a car in Hanau covered with red-colored fluid

Roughly 50 vehicles have been marked with what seems to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to police.

Automobiles, building surfaces and postboxes were vandalized, sometimes with swastikas, they announced in a release.

Officers state they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a individual observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued liquid.

The fluid had been placed in the shape of a banned symbol, they added.

Police then discovered multiple other marked cars and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Swastikas are illegal in Germany under regulations banning the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials state preliminary tests indicate the substance was most likely blood from a person.

"There is still no indication as to its source; investigators are currently not aware of any harm in relation with the incident," they stated.

Municipal representatives said they were attempting "to resolve the incident" and have asked to the residents for details.

A senior political figure commented the vandalism left him stunned and had to be solved promptly.

"This event strikes at the center of Hanau and reopens the pain of the extremist attack half a decade ago," he posted on online, referring to the death of nine victims by a gunman focusing on individuals of immigrant origin in five years prior.
